TIM'S NEWS & FUTURE APPEARANCES
.
-
Dear Friends,
Let me first thank all of you for your kind thoughts about my friend. Harvey was a close part of my life for the last 45 years. I don't know of anyone I shared more laughs or memories with than that tall, gentle man I stood next to for so many years. No two people enjoyed making people laugh more than Harvey and I. Delivering lines together with the purpose of making people laugh was a joy. I hope you were fortunate to be one of the many to have laughed with us. I will miss him and think of him every time I walk on stage. His memory will always be with me.
God Bless Him.
Tim Conway
- Since the creation of Tims web site and the release of his many DVDs, he has made many TV and radio guest appearances to promote the sale of the laughable family products he has recorded. Many of the appearances can be viewed by checking the programs archive listings. There is some pretty funny exchanges with James and Betty Robison on Life Today, Tavis Smiley on the Tavis Smiley Show, Bill OReilly on Bill OReilly FOX News, Ed McMahons national radio show, Living the Life (almost every Tuesday), Father Mike Manning, Good Day LA with Steve Edwards, The Tim Conway Jr. Show on 97.1 in LA. Tim just did a guest appearance on 30 Rock, which will be seen when the shows catch up with the recent writers strike. Tim also hosted Thou Shalt Laugh II, five popular comedians bringing clean humor to the show. The DVD is now in release and well worth gathering the whole family around to view and enjoy good old family comedy.
- Tim and Zack Zeiler are in the process of creating several DVDs that will be released soon. The Adventures of Little Leo will be a series of childrens stories in book and DVD form that will be completed this summer. This is the first in the adventures that will contain messages for kids on how to look for the brighter sides of life.
- I appeared in Kentucky April 10th, 2008 at Keenland Race Track for a Don MacBeth fund raiser. Some of the top jockeys in the country attended for an evening of fun and roping as we presented our third Team Penning Benefit. I suggest you check out the news on the DonMacBeth.com site and see who the racing stars were that showed up to get those “little doggies in the pen”.
- Speaking of heat, Jeffrey Strauss, the owner and executive chef of the Pamplemousse Grill in Del Mar, fired up the stove for the annual DMMJF dinner that benefits the jockey fund. It just gets better. Mike Connors lightened the evening with his humor as a guest host. The jockeys acted as waiters for the guests providing the services to the 160 plus race track crowd and the race trackers with the knives and forks got an up close chance to thank the jocks for the thrills they provide during the racing year. It’s a great evening and the jocks are the best when they contribute to the support of their own.
- Tim enjoyed appearing on The 700 Club and Living the Life, both on CBN. Living The Life is co-hosted by Louise DuArt, the co-star of Together Again. Tim and Louise did several sketches for the audience of over 150 million folks that are available to watch the faith based on shows daily on the CBN.
- Tim also received the, "Television Critics Association" award, for his contribution to TV and in keeping with family entertainment. 600 national reporters attended the affair at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The program will be shown on PBS.
- Tim is currently in studio wrapping-up his voice recording of Freddy, an animated Garfield, buddy character. The 3D CGI animated motion picture Garfield's Fun Fest, produced by Dan Chuba, will soon be a theatrical and DVD release.
- To be released later this summer, Conway is heading back in-studio to record two more Hermie and Wormie animated DVD's. The faith-based Hermie and Wormie series has become very popular with children and strives to teach them the importance of religion and tolerance in their young lives. The animated series is produced by Rick Eldridge and is released through the Tommy Nelson Production Co.
- As part of the upcoming PBS American Masters Series documentary, Conway will be participating in the recognition of his dear friend, Carol Burnett. After working and laughing together for 11 years on the Carol Burnett Show, Conway is excited to share his appreciation for Carol and her work.
- Howie Mandel of Deal, Or No Deal has chosen Tim Conway to appear as his influence on a new series that features present stars and the stars that have influenced their careers. Produced by the son of Frankie Avalon, Frankie Avalon, the series' pilot is set to air this summer.
- Tim was featured in an article in The Guide Post featuring his association with Louise DuArt, her husband Squire and his successful book series, When God Winks. By combining their faith-based sentiments, they have championed the campaign to guide people to a happier outlook on life.
- Tim Conway will tape two more 'voice overs' for a DVD called, Rainbow Valley Fire Department. This popular children's DVD teaches lessons about the everyday decisions that young children encounter. He will also do voice over work for the DVD, Hermie and Wormie, a faith based DVD for young children. He has already done three in the past with Don Knotts before he passed away. The first one sold over a million copies on the first release. These continue to be a very popular story line with young children.
- Tim will also be doing a DVD for a children's series based on his grand daughter's relationship with her little dog, Leo. The series, "Little Leo's Big Adventures", was created by Tim and will be co-written with children's author, Betsey Hollis-Frey. It will be produced by Zack Zeiler of VPI.net, the creator of Tim's web site.
